Dr. Deanne Cranford-Wesley is currently Department Chair Davis iTEC/Cyber Security Center at Forsyth Technical Community College. She also leads efforts for the Center of Academic Excellence Regional Resource Center where one of her initiatives focus on K-12 cybersecurity pipeline.
She has design curriculum for K-12 programs as a consultant and is a member of the Cybersecurity Taskforce. Dr. Cranford -Wesley is a cybersecurity professional and has appeared as a subject matter expert on Fox8 and Time Warner News discussing innovations in cyber security and cyber-attacks. She also teaches
information security, computer forensics and networking courses in the Business Information Technology Department with the Davis ITEC Cyber Security Center. Additionally, Dr. Cranford-Wesley resides on the Executive Board of the Colloquium of Information System Security Education Conference (CISSE). She is President of the Information System Security Association(ISSA) – Tarheel Chapter and has presented at various conferences including several presentations at The Colloquium Information System Security Education Conference, Women in Cybersecurity (WicYs, and ISSA meetings. Most recently she is featured in the Winston Salem Monthly Magazine; “Twin City Innovators”.
Dr. Cranford-Wesley holds a PhD in Education Leadership with a focus in Instructional Technology and a
Master of Art in Administration. Furthermore, she has obtained the following certifications; Security +,
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco
Certified Instructor (CCAI).
